old metal

I have been dreaming of a hat rack like this for a long time. Yes, it's rusty, heavy and dangerous.* I love it! Too bad I never wear hats...

*don't worry, it's been sanded, spray painted, and it's not really dangerous- it just looks pokey.

i happen to have a LOT of old bottle caps with the cork inside. i love how they look all flattened out....but now what? mobile? jewlery? add some resin and make knobs? any other ideas?

Heh, the bottle caps remind me of the X-Box 360 game - Fallout. In that game, which is set in a post-nuclear disaster setting, bottle caps are the currency. Don't know what you could do with that!

I'm enjoying your creation immensely!

How about nailed to the edge of a table or chair, maybe down the legs? Also cute on a picture frame.

they would make great refrigerator magnets or push pins for a bulletin board... a thought! ;-)

Very Cool!

I'm curious, is the hat rack REALLY a hat rack or is it re-purposed as one? Never saw somethign so neat!

The hat rack is part of an old twin bed mattress. I used a metal blade on my cicular saw and did a bit of rearranging to get the spacing right.

HI Put a pinback on some of them and sell. Would be a conversation starter. Smile Doti of DotisSpot.etsy.com
