a hoosier and a cute little dresser

hi there! as liz mentioned yesterday, we have been feverishly working on the shop face lift the past week. i did manage to squeeze in some time to work on a couple pieces though!

first is this hoosier that i just love! i have a soft spot for them. this would make a sweet kitchen island. it even has the original tin bread drawer!

this is technically a commode i think. whatever it was originally used for, it certainly needed a some love. the old faux finishing just had to go!

now its aqua and ready to find a new lease on life!

Holy cow! I have a matching hoosier! Check it out:

My plan was to repaint it this summer, but I've been so confused with what to do with it - should I repaint it or leave it as is?! On a side note, is there any way you could take another picture of that hook that closes the door and email it to me? The one on my desk/hoosier has been broken off for the last 26 years that I've been alive, and I want to replace the hardware.
Thanks!

hi courtney! i love your desk. i would be inclined to leave it as is and give it a nice good coat of poly to prevent any further chipping. of course, it would also be super fun painted a bright color! shoot me an email at sticksandbricksjustin@gmail.com and i'd be glad to snap a pic of the latch for you.
