I love those! What do you use as the board- an old cupboard door? Can never figure out what to use...

I've seen antique-esque handles at Hobby Lobby...

i use an interior door cut into sections- but a cupboard door would work great too! i generally get doors at my local rebuilding center (the restore). i also get some knobs there- or at flea markets- one is from anthropologie because i couldn't resist- i'm always on the hunt!

It is rather interesting for me to read that blog. Thank you for it. I like such topics and anything connected to them. I definitely want to read a bit more soon.

How did you get the old knobs to stay secure to the board?

garth, i cut threaded rod into 2" sections (depends on the thickness of the door) epoxied the rod into the door shaft, and used a t bolt on the backside to secure it.
