odds and ends

thought I'd share some of the smaller projects I've been working on with y'all today....


luggage tags... did you know you can write on copper with permanent marker and then wipe it off with dry erase board cleaner.... so go ahead and write your address on the back!

what do you use to hammer the type into the copper? typewriter keys? curious...

i got this great set of letters that are meant for hammering- they look kind of like a nail set or hole punch (for leather). i got them at harbor freight- a wonderful store for discount tools. i think they might have an online store too....

cool, thanks for the tip! I love your blog because although my life is not yet in place to be doing so yet, my dream is to do what you do. I love your style, I love the idea of recycling and working with my hands and being inspired by one-of-a-kind pieces. I just love everything about it. So until I can actually dig my hands in (I have a 3 year old and another on the way and no garage or shop space) I will continue to live vicariously through you. ;)
