i really like to glue magnets to the backs of my old bottle caps (not flattened, tho) and use them as magnets on fridge and some old metal lockers i use for storage. My parents have a table that's covered in old flattened bottle caps--just nailed on in rows. it's very folk-art.

Your stuff is fantastic!! You inspired me to transform a bedside table I found on Craigslist. Painted it and added a decal. A question for you: When you paint your tables do you ever add a sealer of some sort? Anyhoo thanks for posting all of your great stuff.

thanks y'all!
mitzie, i usually give all my furniture at least one coat of water based poly to protect the finish. you can buy it all different sheens, and i tend to use satin. i prefer the appearance of less, but more shine means more durability.
